Compliance with Legal Aspects of the Applying of e-Learning in the Training of Seafarers

ABSTRACT: The article examines applicability of the world experience of e-learning and distance education technologies structure to STCW recommendations and national legal requirements of the Russian Federation. There are comprehensive comparative analysis of a distance learning system and STCW recommendations.
There are some results of the distance education system LMS ?FARWATER? test period for the benefits of seafarers vocational education and the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping (Admiral Makarov SUMIS) where the LMS ?FARWATER? was designed.
